ABOUT THE FILM: A introspective short questioning the idea of 'home'.
Gentle Reminders is a story about a girl named Jo, a 22 year old soon-to-be college graduate, who is a chronic hoarder. She attaches sentimental value to each of her belongings and has a hard time letting go.

The film is set in one particular afternoon when Jo and her roommate Deena are packing up to move out of their hostel room. Jo carefully reminiscences over each little object, as she wraps up years worth of memories in boxes.

We travel back in time with Jo as she remembers a story her grandmother used to tell her as a little girl. The story of a butterfly growing out of her cocoon and flying away to explore a new world. Through this memory, Jo realises that she need not keep the physical reminders around in order to remember the people she loves. Just like the butterfly, she needs to shed her cocoon at some point.

The film ponders over the idea of home. What it means to each of us. How its meaning changes over time.
