About the Project: Made as a part of the 'Word & Image module guided by Mr Jagadish Kumar, our graphic design faculty, I chose this sapiens to redesign its cover and develop my version of the book title. After going halfway through and reading the book's synopsis and the information I gathered through browsing the internet, I tried gathering an understanding of the book.
About the Book: Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind is a novel written by author
Prof. Yuval Noah Harari. The book talks about the history of humankind and our cognitive, agricultural, scientific and technological revolutions. It focuses on the fundamental processes that shaped humanity and the world oaround it, such as the invention of agriculture, the creation of money, the spread of religion, and the nation-state's rise.

Process: I noted down a few keywords, to come up with cover design ideas:
Wise man, Myth-makers, Communication, Social Glue, Shared subjectivity, Laws, Gods, Money, Morals, Innovation, Cognitive, Agriculture, Science, Technology.

Composing, lay-outing and Typography done on Adobe Illustrator & Indesign and Artwork modelled and rendered on Blender 3D.

Typeface used: Recia Variable designed by Carlos de Toro for the Indian Type Foundry.
