The Process:
Selecting the image: When deciding on the image for the poster, we had to keep in mind the sensitive nature of the subject. The following factors contributed to the selection on this particular image.
Composition: Many a times, our hands give away emotions that our words fail to convey. The woman in the frame fidgets with her engagement ring as she speaks about her late husband and those he left behind. The frame also lent a window into her mental state while sharing intimate details about her life. The tight crop translates that intimacy into the poster.
Colour: The striking red saree was worn by a widow. It sheds light on her life long devotion to her late husband and his memories. Red stand out and helps the poster stand out.
Treatment: The treatment of the image is taken from the color grading of the film itself and enhanced to add drama and depth.
